Disclaimer
Read this before you act on a number from this site. It is short on purpose.

Every figure on PayslipIQ UAE is an educational estimate, not advice and not a guarantee. Do not resign, accept a settlement, sign a contract, commit a deposit or file a return on the strength of a number from this site. Get it confirmed by someone qualified and accountable for the answer.
Is this financial advice?
No. GoldPaid Ltd is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, so nothing on this site is regulated financial advice or a personal recommendation. The calculators do arithmetic on figures you type and show the working.
Check anyone you appoint on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk. The section below sets out exactly where the boundary sits. Checked 27 August 2026.
What the figures are
They are estimates, built from published rules and the figures you type in, with the working shown so you can check it. We use named primary sources: UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and MoHRE for gratuity, the UAE Federal Tax Authority for VAT and corporate tax, the DIFC for DEWS, and HMRC and GOV.UK for UK rates and residence. Our full methodology is set out at How We Work.
They are useful for orientation: to see roughly what a package is worth, to sanity-check an employer's arithmetic, and to know which questions to ask before you sign anything.
What the figures are not
- Not advice. Nothing here is financial, tax, legal, accounting, investment, immigration or employment advice, and it must not be relied on as such.
- Not a guarantee. No figure on this site is a quotation, a settlement offer, a tax computation or a binding statement of what you are owed.
- Not official. We are an independent educational publisher. We are not MoHRE, the Federal Tax Authority, HMRC, your employer or a regulator, and we are not affiliated with any of them.
- Not current forever. Rates, thresholds, exchange rates and employer practices change. A page that was accurate when published may not be accurate when you read it.
- Not tailored to you. The calculators cannot see your contract, your service record, your visa or your family circumstances.
What we are not authorised to do
GoldPaid Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on this site is regulated financial advice or a personal recommendation. That is the same sentence as in our Terms of Use, and this is the page where it is explained. It is stated once, in one form, so that the three legal pages cannot drift apart.
The boundary in plain English: regulated advice is an authorised person looking at your circumstances and telling you what to do with a particular pension, ISA, investment or other regulated product. Transfer this, buy that, leave the other alone. Nobody here does that, and nobody here is permitted to.
What this site does instead is explain published rules and do arithmetic on the figures you type, with the working shown. That covers UK tax residence and the Statutory Residence Test, P85, voluntary National Insurance, what happens to an ISA once you are non-resident, non-resident Capital Gains Tax and its 60-day reporting deadline on UK property, and UAE gratuity and take-home pay. We describe how those rules work and what they mean for a figure. We do not tell you what to do with your own pension, your own ISA or your own portfolio. If a page here reads as though it does, that page is wrong and we want to hear about it.
When the question is about a regulated product, take the answer from someone authorised to give it. You can check whether a firm or an individual is authorised, and what for, on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Financial Services Register. If a person calling themselves an adviser is not on it, that is the end of the conversation.
Your UAE entitlements depend on your contract and the rules that apply to you
End-of-service gratuity is calculated on basic salary only, not the headline package, and the split between basic pay and allowances is set by your contract. Your entitlement also turns on your exact continuous service, how the employment ended, any unpaid leave or deductions, and the settlement your employer actually produces.
Which rules apply to you matters just as much. Mainland private-sector employment falls under the UAE Labour Law and MoHRE. Employees in the Dubai International Financial Centre fall under DIFC employment law and the DEWS workplace savings scheme rather than the standard gratuity formula, and other free zones can operate their own arrangements. Our calculators assume the mainland position unless a page says otherwise. If you are in the DIFC or a free zone, treat our gratuity figure as indicative at best and check your own scheme.
Your UK position depends on the Statutory Residence Test and your own facts
Leaving the UK does not switch off the UK tax system. Whether you are UK-resident in a given tax year is decided by the Statutory Residence Test, which turns on day counts, ties to the UK, work patterns, accommodation and family, and on whether split-year treatment applies to your particular circumstances. It is fact-specific and it is easy to get wrong.
Related matters follow the same pattern: your P85, voluntary National Insurance, the Non-Resident Landlord Scheme if you let out a UK property, ISAs and pensions once you are non-resident, and non-resident Capital Gains Tax with its 60-day reporting deadline on UK property disposals. We explain what these are. We cannot tell you where you land, because that depends on facts only you and your adviser have.
Take advice before you act
When the answer has money or a deadline attached, get it from someone who is qualified and accountable for it:
- UK tax and residence: a UK-qualified accountant or chartered tax adviser.
- UAE employment, gratuity and contract terms: a qualified UAE legal or tax adviser.
- Visas and residency: a licensed immigration adviser.
- Pensions and investments: an appropriately authorised financial adviser.
We do not appoint, recommend or refer advisers, we run no adviser panel, and we receive nothing if you engage one. If you are not sure which of the four you need, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what kind of professional your question needs. Finding them, and the responsibility for the advice they give, sits with you and them.
Accuracy, corrections and liability
We aim to be right, and we publish the working so that you can check us. If a figure on this site is wrong, tell us on WhatsApp or at hello@payslipiq.co.uk. We will correct it and record the date we did. This page is not an attempt to make a wrong figure your problem.
What it does say is that a number from a calculator is a starting point, not a decision. Before you act on one, check it against your own contract, your own service record, and the position your employer, HMRC, MoHRE or the Federal Tax Authority takes in your case. We are not liable for loss arising because that check was skipped.
Clause 11 of our Terms of Use sets out the limits of our liability in full and is the version that governs. This page neither adds to it nor changes it. Nothing in either page excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
